Santarlas Law is a boutique firm owned by Rachel Santarlas—a registered patent attorney—and counsel to U.S. and internationally based clients in the areas of patent, copyright, trademark and brand procurement protection and enforcement as well as Internet and Privacy law related issues.
Combining her undergraduate degree in biology and her law degree, Rachel has worked to protect Intellectual Property for a broad mix of clients in areas such as:

Prior to starting Santarlas Law, Rachel held the position of Counsel with a large Northern New Jersey based law firm where she worked for over 11 years in the Intellectual Property and Media and Technologies Groups. She focused on both U.S. and international trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance, enforcement, copyright registration and other Intellectual Property related matters, in addition to handling many privacy matters, Terms of Use and Privacy Policies. Clients routinely relied on her experience in matters of Intellectual Property due diligence and drafting and negotiation for corporate and Intellectual Property Agreements. Rachel also prepared website and mobile apps Terms of Use and Privacy Policies for clients’ websites, e-commerce sites and downloadable mobile apps on the iTunes and GooglePlay platforms. She worked to limit the liability of online service provider clients from copyright infringement by their users under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Rachel began her legal career working for well-known clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger and the entertainment brand World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE) where she focused on U.S. and international copyright and trademark protection, prosecution, anti-counterfeiting and enforcement.
Rachel has a broad network of foreign attorneys with whom she works to secure foreign trademark protection for her clients.
Rachel is admitted in numerous states in the union, including most recently, her admission to the Florida Bar. Rachel has recently moved her New Jersey office to Jupiter, Florida, where she practices and resides with her husband and three wonderful children.
Rachel is involved in the Florida based community in which she lives, whether it be volunteering at her children’s school in Palm Beach County and their soccer games and other sports related activities.
On off hours, Rachel enjoys the amazingly wonderful joys that Florida life has to offer, like going to the beach, boating and tennis.
